just saw George in concert in Minneapolis, only time I really remember the mike pointing to get the audience to sing along was during Careless Whisper, but people say he fogerts the lyrics to that a lot anyways...lol It was fun, and he did a great job, and not once did I ever hear his voice get weak, his voice was strong & powerful. That reviewer must not have been an honest-to-goodness fan anyways.

Awww- come on! I can't believe people are complaining about George getting the audience to sing! The one thing that has really got to me reading peoples comments on forums etc about his tour, are the complaints about such trivial things. There are tens of 1000's of people who love George From New Zealand & Australia who have not been able to see him in concert because he hasn't toured there. Be grateful that such an incredible talent has given you all amazing shows you can go to. There are a lot of very sad people who have missed out- I for one of them!

I saw George in Dallas this past weekend. Flew from my home in Denver just for his show. He sounded wonderful to me. And...if his voice is having a hard time with the high notes...I don't really care. He still sang live better then most....he danced like a mad man....had a wonderful stage....and I love when the crowd sings along. the sound of thousands and thousands of people singing as good or as bad as they want to my favorite songs...is lovely if you ask me. It's exciting....and I don't care what the reason is George points the mike to the crowd. I have waited my whole life to see him live...and was happy to sing along weather he wanted me to or not:)

This dude is bitter, that's for sure. Being a fellow Seattle-ite, I feel the same way about the Sonics leaving, that the fans are the ones who lose out in the end. However, I won't miss the traffic around the arena! And really, come on, George Michael has nothing to do with this situation. Leave the guy alone! I was at the same show, and while the crowd was a little on the small side, George got everyone pumped up. The energy was high and the show was awesome! I was amazed at how great George's voice sounded! I thought he was great that he engaged the audience and got everyone to sing along. I thought it was fun and it helps the crowd feel more connected. He hit a ton of high notes and he played a two hour set, which is a feat for any performer!

If you are tired of George pointing the mike to the audience, then just stop buying tickets to his concerts. This is his first US tour in 17 years, and we should be happy he did it. His voice is amazing, and naturally as people age their voice weakens. Please do not critize him; it's your own fault for buying the expensive tickets.

I agree. Perhaps if he'd lay off the weed he wouldn't be damaging his voice.

They lost their NBA team, so I'll let it pass. You can tell the guy is heartbroken over it. One thing I did agree with him on is George getting the crowd to sing the high notes. I wish he would stop doing that. With the advancements in music technology I don't think it should be a problem for him. Not that I am advocating him to lip-sync but maybe have playback to sing to on those specific high notes.
