Michael Film Signals "Retirement"
George
Michael is "retiring," or so say the newspapers. George is quoted
as saying "I'm still going to be making music," but added that
he was "not going to be around."
"I think the future is a much more behind-the-scenes affair for
me, "George Michael said. "That won't really be a matter of
privacy, it will just be a matter of me not being around. I just thought
it was very important to explain myself before I disappear."
He told reporters that he wanted to "move his career into a different
form," but added that he does not know what it is going to be yet.
George Michael also said, "Perhaps it will mean writing for other
people. I have an ambition to write a truly contemporary musical, not
necessarily even for the stage, but for the screen … I have got to find
ways to make music and enjoy it the way I used to."
