 From the August 9, 1986, issue of No. 1: Pepsi: "Since the second Wham! tour, we've realised that we had to do something more than stand behind two boys wiggling our bums. But I wasn't sure for a while." Shirlie: "She was still up on cloud nine." Pepsi: "I wanted to get something together by myself. But as time went on it seemed more and more right. Now you can't separate us." Shirlie: "We groove together!" Pepsi: "The good thing is that we do things in completely different ways ... Shirlie approaches things from the pop side while I'm more into the R&B, soul side. On the demos we've done, you can hear the two influences which work well." |
