It’s time we applauded the genius of George Michael

The Guardian Music Blog has an article, “It’s time we applauded the genius of George Michael,” which says in part:

Faith (the album) was classic pop. It found Michael moving into Brian Wilson Pet Sounds territory. Seriously – Michael co-produced, wrote all the songs, played most of the instruments and sang backing vocals and harmonies. Faith could have been “pop star ego gone wild” but it wasn’t. Instead it became an instant classic, standing alongside other albums released in 1987, namely: Sonic Youth’s Sister, the Cure’s Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and Prince’s Sign o’ the Times.

  1. I totaly agree, George Michael is the best on one of the brightest song writers and entertainers there ever was.
I never understood why they banned his songs, have you ever really listeded to the lryics of some of the rap music out there.
I also remembered when they banned Elvis also.
I also don’t understand why George’s cd’s are not premoted in the USA. expecially when he had his Live 25 tour over here. I went to his concert and it was the best concert I have ever been to.
Good Job George you are the best.
