George Michael has been arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive after his car ploughed into a shop near his home in the early hours.

The former Wham! star’s Range Rover hit the doorway of the Snappy Snaps. It is the SEVENTH time George has been at the centre of a police investigation into his driving in the last six years.

His 4×4 was caught on CCTV mounting the pavement before crunching into the glass and metal shop front.

Shocked George, 47, climbed out but is thought to have waited for police. He did not need medical attention.

The star was not breathalysed after telling police he had not been drinking but is believed to have been tested for drugs at a police station.

No drugs were recovered and he was bailed until August.

GEORGE MICHAEL has been arrested after his car crashed into a SHOP on the night of a gay festival, The Sun can reveal.

The troubled singer, 47, was held on suspicion of being unfit to drive after he lost control of his Range Rover and it smashed into a Snappy Snaps.

The impact buckled a door frame and shattered windows at the photo store in posh Hampstead, North London – near the star’s home.

The singer – who only last year ended a two-year ban for drug driving – was held at 3.35am on Sunday after London’s Gay Pride parade.

He was quizzed at a nearby police station and released on bail. He must return next month.

Cops said: “A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive.”

Last night the singer’s spokesman refused to comment.

George, what is wrong with you? Don’t you love us? Don’t you love yourself? God has been on your side, and I hope something tragic does not happen soon. Please George, when is it going to stop? We all love you and don’t want to see you hurt. I am always praying for you – remember that.

I agree with Evelyn. George, pull yourself together and show us your best!

As a life-long fan of George’s, I can’t help but feel sorry for him. He is choosing a very destructive way of dealing with whatever problems he has. Perhaps now is the time for some “tough love” on the part of not only fans, but those that are closest to him and most importantly, of law enforcement as well. I can’t help but think that part of why this continues to happen is because he is let off each time. It’s time for him to confront his issues head on by doing one of three things….going to rehab, having his license suspended indefinitely and possibly even doing some jail time. I hate to say this about someone I love and admire, but it is getting harder and harder to support him when he won’t help himself. Unfortunately, our beloved George is becoming yet another tragic and sad public figure that has let fame and fortune get the best of him. We wish you well George.

I agree with all of the comments already written. Something needs to be done before something tragic happens. I have seen too many people in life go down this road that will only end in distruction. He needs to be in a forced court ordered drug rehab treatment program and loose his driver’s license indefinitely.

I totally agree with all of the comments. Definetley George needs to pull himself together. I’ve been a fan of George for a long time. It is time for him to confront what he is dealing with before something terrible happens. We all love you George and we don’t want anything bad happen to you.

It’s time George grows up and faces his demons.
But as he quoted “Im a proud man” its harder for him to see the error of his ways. Rehab is the best option, ( enforced by the law) or hopefully by his own free will) TOUGH LOVE IS ALSO IN ORDER.
He is just a human being underneath who needs to get back in touch with his soul(who he really is when he takes off his mask that he hids behind) that I believe would make him stop feeling sorry for himself, and would put many a SMILE back on many of his fans faces, as well as my own.
Kick the drugs George as they are doing you more harm then good. Break the self destruction button and face your fear whatever that may be… before it is to late.

Its just sad to see celebrities like George Michael and Lindsay Lohan get pulled down because of their drug problems. I hope that like the jail sentence of Lindsay and her enforced rehab, the same would also be given to George. It just might save his life as clearly, he has a huge problem with DUI and has been getting into car accidents almost annually. Getting a driver would not be enough to help George this time, he needs serious help before he causes an accident that may hurt him, or worse, another person.
