George Michael has been arrested in north London public toilets for possession of drugs, a newspaper has reported.
The claims have been made in the Sunday People and a spokesman for the Met Police confirmed an arrest was made.
He said: “I can confirm that a 45-year-old man was arrested on September 19 on suspicion of possession of drugs in the Hampstead Heath area.
“He was taken to a north London police station where he received a caution for possession of class A and class C drugs.”

George Michael has been cautioned for drug possession after being arrested at a notorious meeting place for gay men.
The 45-year-old pop star was caught with a small amount of cannabis and a Class A drug, possibly cocaine or Ecstasy, on Hampstead Heath in North London.
It is the fourth time in three years that the pop star has been arrested on drugs charges but until now he has been caught only with so-called soft drugs such as cannabis.

Temporary Leave of Absence

As of today, I will be on what I think is best described as a temporary leave of absence from the site. I should be back to a regular posting schedule in 2009. There hasn’t been anything to post recently so I don’t think you’ll see much of a difference.
If there is something of major importance (new tour dates, new CD), please put “URGENT” in the subject of your e-mail, and I will post it as soon as I can. Please do not write to me about anything that is unrelated to new George Michael news; you will not receive a response.
